A délégation of newly appointed Defence Attachés (DA), led by Brigadier General Benjamin Amoah-Boakye, has paid a courtesy call on the Chief of the Naval Staff (CNS), Rear Admiral Godwin Livinus Bessing, at the Naval headquarters in Burma Camp on Tuesday, 30 June 2026.
The visit, ahead of their overseas postings, formed part of preparations for the officers’ diplomatic assignments, with the delegation seeking the CNS's guidance and support as they assume their responsibilities.
Rear Admiral Bessing congratulated the officers on their appointments and urged them to uphold the highest standards of professionalism while promoting Ghana’s defence interests. He assured them of the Navy’s support as they transition into their new roles.
Brigadier General Amoah-Boakye expressed gratitude to the military high command and the CNS for the confidence placed in the team. He pledged that the team would discharge their duties diligently and work to enhance Ghana’s security partnerships in their respective countries of assignment.
