The Naval Training Command (NAVTRAC) has held a handing and taking over ceremony for the outgoing and incoming Command Coxswains on Monday, 27 April 2026, at the School of Maritime Operations (SMOPS) Auditorium, Nutekpor.
The ceremony saw the outgoing Command Coxswain, Fleet Chief Petty Officer Class Two (FCPO2) Abotsi Prince, formally hand over responsibilities through the signing of handing and taking over notes, as well as the symbolic presentation of the Command Cane, marking the transition of authority to the incoming Command Coxswain, FCPO2 Adjetey Martin Mensah.
The symbolic transfer of the Command Cane signified the continuity of leadership, responsibility, and discipline expected of the Command Coxswain.
In his remarks, the Guest of Honour and Training Coordinator of NAVTRAC, Naval Captain David Dela Kpetigo, commended the outgoing Command Coxswain for his dedication, commitment, and valuable contributions to the Command during his tenure. He expressed appreciation for his exemplary leadership and wished him success in his future endeavours.
Naval Captain Kpetigo also congratulated the incoming Command Coxswain on his appointment and encouraged him to uphold the highest standards of discipline, professionalism, and leadership. He urged him to work closely with personnel and continue to promote unity, welfare, and operational effectiveness within the Command.
