The Supply Application School under the Naval Training Command in collaboration with the Ho Technical University (HTU) held a graduation ceremony for 81 personnel who have completed various programmes run by the University on Wednesday 11 December 2024 at the Naval Training Command at Nutekpor near Sogakope.
The graduation ceremony was the 5 h of its kind since the signing of a Memorandum of Understanding (MOU) between the Ghana Navy and the Ho Technical University. In all, 30 personnel graduated with a diploma in Procurement and Supply Management, 25 with a diploma in Secretaryship and Management Studies, and 26 with a Certificate in Cook Steward. They included 5 personnel each from the Ghana Army and the Ghana Air Force.
In his remarks, Commodore Solomon Asiedu-Larbi Flag Officer Commanding Naval Training Command (NAVTRAC), stated that the Command had decided to organize graduations twice a year and possibly join the HTU during their congregations.
He congratulated the graduates for the hard work that had seen them successfully graduating from the school. He urged them to use the knowledge acquired to improve their tasks in discharging their duties.
On his part, the Vice Chancellor of the Ho Technical University Prof Ben Honyenuga expressed his appreciation to the Command of NAVTRAC and the Naval High Command for its commitment in the implementation of the MOU. To the graduands, he asked them to be proud alumina of one of the best universities in Ghana. He stated that HTU values the partnership with the Ghana Navy and would work together to improve it. Awards were presented to deserving students.
