The Deputy Chief Staff Officer (Operations and Training) and Flag Officer Commanding (FOC) Riverine Command (RIVCOM), Commodore Stephen Billins Nyam, has handed over command of the Riverine Command (RIVCOM) to the Deputy Chief Staff Officer (Administration), Naval Captain Isaac Aratuo, who assumes duty as Acting Flag Officer Commanding RIVCOM.
In his remarks, Commodore Nyam highlighted major activities undertaken by the Command during his tenure and commended personnel for their dedication. He urged them to maintain the high standards of discipline in the professional discharge of their duties. Commodore Nyam further outlined ongoing efforts to acquire resources in order to enhance the Command’s operational effectiveness. He expressed confidence in Naval Captain Aratuo in performing up to task, urging personnel of the Command to continue to work together to advance the Command’s objectives under his leadership.
In response, Naval Captain Aratuo expressed gratitude to the Chief of the Naval Staff, Rear Admiral Godwin Livinus Bessing, for the confidence reposed in him for the appointment as the Acting FOC RIVCOM and pledged to strengthen the Command’s operations while advancing its objectives.
