A brief handing and taking over ceremony was held between the outgoing Chief Staff Officer (CSO) Commodore (Cdre) Bright Emmanuel Atiayao and the incoming CSO, Cdre Ben Baba Abdul at the Naval Headquarters on Wednesday 7 May 2025. 
This follows Cdre Atiayao's appointment as Ghana’s Defence Attaché to Nigeria. He wished his successor well as he takes the mantle. 
Cdre Abdul on his part, expressed his commitment to building on the foundation laid by his predecessor.
In a related development, a farewell reception was held for Cdre Bright Atiayao and the outgoing Deputy Chief Staff Officer Naval Policy and Plans, Cdre Faustina Anokye-Boakye at the Biekro Museum on Thursday 8 May 2025 at the Naval Headquarters.
Cdre Anokye is now seconded to the Fisheries Commission as National Coordinator Fisheries Enforcement Unit.
