The Founder and Chief Executive Officer (CEO) of Zeal Environmental Technologies Limited (ZETL), Mr Kwaku Ennin, paid a courtesy call on the Flag Officer Commanding (FOC), Western Naval Command (WNC), Commodore Samuel Ayelazono, at the Command Headquarters in Sekondi on Wednesday, 10 June 2026.
The visit formed part of efforts to strengthen the longstanding partnership between Zeal Environmental and the Ghana Navy, particularly the Western Naval Command, where the company remained a key strategic stakeholder in environmental management and maritime support services.
During the meeting, discussions centred on maritime operations, environmental sustainability, and areas of mutual interest to enhance collaboration between the Command and the private sector. The engagement also explored opportunities to strengthen support for safeguarding Ghana's maritime domain and promoting responsible environmental practices within the maritime industry.
The meeting further highlighted the shared commitment of both institutions to fostering cooperation in areas that contributed to national development, maritime security and environmental sustainability.
Commodore Ayelazono expressed appreciation for the cordial relationship that existed between the Ghana Navy and Zeal Environmental. He underscored the importance of strategic partnerships in supporting the Navy's operational objectives and contributing to the security and development of Ghana's maritime sector.
On his part, Mr Ennin reaffirmed Zeal Environmental's commitment to supporting initiatives that promote environmental stewardship and sustainable development in the maritime sector. He noted that effective collaboration between industry stakeholders and security institutions was vital for protecting the country's maritime resources and ensuring a safe and clean marine environment.
As a symbol of the strong partnership between the Western Naval Command and Zeal Environmental, Commodore Ayelazono presented Mr Ennin with a framed artistic impression of a Ghana Navy warship as a token of appreciation for his continued support and contribution to the Ghana Navy and its operations.
They both reaffirmed their commitment to deepening cooperation and exploring additional avenues of collaboration in support of the Ghana Navy's mission and Ghana's maritime interests.
