Basic Training Course 69 (BT 69) of the Eastern Naval Command (ENC) has commemorated 20 years of dedicated service with a donation to the Young Sailors Academy at ENC. The gesture formed part of activities marking the course’s 20th anniversary.
The group presented three (3) television sets, assorted stationery, playing cards and other recreational materials to enhance academic work and extracurricular activities at the Academy.
Presenting the items on behalf of BT 69, Chief Petty Officer Class One Yamoah Abraham conveyed the group’s sincere appreciation to the leadership and instructors of the Ghana Navy for their mentorship and guidance over the years. He explained that the donation symbolised their gratitude and their resolve to contribute meaningfully to the growth and training of future sailors.
Receiving the items, the Flag Officer Commanding, ENC, Commodore Solomon Asiedu-Larbi, commended BT 69 for demonstrating unity and sustained esprit de corps two decades after recruitment. He described the initiative as a true reflection of the core values of loyalty, service and responsibility instilled in personnel of Ghana Navy. He encouraged members of the Course to maintain the high standards of discipline, professionalism and teamwork that have distinguished them throughout their service.
